Chapter 1794
Sophie didn't get mad at the guy for being rude; instead, she asked with a hint of curiosity, "How do you know my name is Sophie?"

Everyone had just started at this school and were still getting to know each other. Sophie couldn't remember ever telling this guy her name.
Faced with Sophie's questioning look, Odie considered several explanations but finally replied, "Why don't you take a guess?"
Sophie frowned, "You're nuts!"
Odie leaned on his hand, watching Sophie's irritated face intently, and said, "Well, tough luck for you. You've got a nutcase as your desk buddy now."
"My brother told me not to talk to strangers, and if you keep this up, I'll tell the teacher."
"Tell the teacher? Don't you have a scarier threat?"
"What do you mean?"
"I mean, telling the teacher doesn't scare me."
Odie watched Sophie struggle to find words, clearly frustrated, and felt a swell of satisfaction.
This was more like it.
Facing this new version of Sophie, who hadn't yet built up her defenses, he exuded confidence.
"My brother said you're being a creep. If I don't tell the teacher, I'll tell him, and he'll deal with you."noveldrama
"Oh, you mean that sickly guy from the Aldridge family?"
"Don't you dare talk about my brother like that!"
Sophie stood up, visibly upset.
Instantly, the classroom went silent.
Everyone was looking at Sophie and Odie with curious eyes.
Noticing all the attention, Odie cleared his throat and gently tugged Sophie's
sleeve, "Alright, I take it back. Just sit down, okay?"
"Apologize to my brother."
"You want me to apologize to that sickly guy?"
"Teacher!"
Sophie was about to call for the teacher, and seeing her on the verge of tears, Odie quickly said, "Okay, okay, I'm sorry! Please, just sit down!"
Odie softly pulled Sophie back to her seat.
He couldn't stand seeing girls cry, especially Sophie.
He couldn't picture this woman, who looked just like Sophie, crying like a little girl.
The only time he'd seen Sophie cry was when Gordon died.
"Well, apologize then."
Sophie looked at Odie earnestly.
Reluctantly, Odie shifted his gaze, his expression darkening as he mumbled, "I'm sorry."
"Sorry to who?"
"Sorry to the sickly..."
Seeing Sophie about to cry again, Odie quickly corrected himself, "Sorry to your most beloved brother, okay?"
"That's more like it."
Sophie gathered up the textbooks
that had just been handed out, saying, "I don't know how you know my name, but I'm already engaged. I won't fall for you."
Odie chuckled at Sophie's bold statement.
This dream version of Sophie was not only a crybaby but also full of herself.
"Who said I was into you?"
"Then why are you following me?"
Sophie
ned, puzzled, "Or are you
one of those guys who, after getting makes up excuses to save
face?"
Odie's expression turned stormy.
Sophie was still Sophie.
Even a few years younger, her tongue was just as sharp.
"Enough! Shut up."
What do you think?
