The Great Medical Saint

Chapter 855

Facing Anisha's demand, Darius reluctantly agreed, "I'll do my best."

Anisha pulled out her phone and checked the time. "Let's find a place to stay." Darius replied without hesitation, "Let's get a room at a hotel."

When he mentioned getting a hotel, his gaze inadvertently swept over Anisha's chest. Noticing how the suit fit her curves, he felt his heart skipping a beat.

Anisha shook her head. "No hotels. Let's find a private accommodation that doesn't ask for ID. We need to keep things under the radar."

Darius thought for a moment before suggesting, "Let's rest in the car. Most private stays aren't available until morning."

...

The next day, around 10:00 am, Anisha and Darius finally found a place to stay called Saddlewood Haven.

After closing the door, Anisha added, "Next time we head out, let's hold hands so it looks like we're a couple. Also, from now on, call me Anisha."

Darius suddenly got a little carried away and blurted out, "Anisha!"

Anisha was caught off guard for a moment, then blushed and responded, "Start calling me that in private as well. If we want to stay unnoticed, we need to make it convincing and live like a real married couple. So, we need to sleep in the same bed and do what couples do. That way, when friends stop by, they won't notice a thing."

Darius felt a rush of excitement. "Are you saying we're sharing a bed tonight, Anisha? I-I think you make a good point. How about we give it a try tonight?"

Anisha's face flushed red. "Give me some time. After all, Karina and Allen just passed away. I'm not in the mood for it. After I've taken my time to settle down, we can sleep in the same bed."

Darius was frustrated at first, but he quickly regained his excitement. "Alright. I'll go with what you said."

A hint of disdain flashed in Anisha's eyes. The strategy was working. After just throwing a little hope his way, he fell right in line.

Despite getting older, she could still have Darius wrapped around her finger. If she sent a gorgeous young woman from Springflower, taking Matthew out would be a walk in the park.

With that in mind, Anisha's confidence shot up.noveldrama

Taking advantage of the bathroom break, Anisha pulled out her phone and sent a message to her subordinate, codenamed Siren. "Make it to Lambda City within a day and complete the Code Red mission. The target is Matthew."

At the entrance of Suncroft Village, Tony stood in front of Graceful Touch Church and pointed to it. "The Octolith is inside. I used to visit the church every year to pray and clean the Octolith. I wonder how the Octolith is right now."

Matthew saw plenty of young people today, all entering the church in small groups. Suddenly, he felt more curious about the church. "Alright. Let's head in and check the place out."

He was here to get the Octolith. But seeing a church that was so popular with young people, he was intrigued to find out why.

Tony walked inside with Matthew. "The church used to be so quiet before. Why are there so many people now?"

As they spoke, they entered the church.

Upon stepping in, Matthew saw the crucifix prominently displayed inside. His eyes were drawn to the altar with tall candles flickering gently. There, he spotted a book of remembrance.

The text on the book cover had faded, but he managed to make out the word— Vita. Right away, he made the connection to Vital Restorative Remedies.

A young couple sat on the pews and started praying. The young man muttered, "I pray for your blessing to know everything in the exam and guess the right answers."

Upon hearing that, Matthew almost laughed. If the young man understood everything in the exam, he didn't need to guess. Wasn't that contradictory?

But Matthew finally understood why so many came to the church. Students came here praying for good grades. Still, he found it weird to ask for blessings for exams. He turned to Tony and asked, "Where's the Octolith?"

Tony motioned at the door leading to the back of the church. "The churchyard."

There was a door behind the altar. After walking through it, they found themselves in a small yard.

The yard had these huge pine trees, and the ground was covered with weeds and fallen leaves. It was nothing like the scene in front of the church.

Walking on the gravel, Matthew glanced around, "Where's the Octolith?"

Tony pointed at a small stone platform, looking astonished. "Yeah. Where's the Octolith? It used to be on the platform. Where did it go?"
