The Great Medical Saint

Chapter 854

Anisha was momentarily taken aback, then coldly asked, "Who else do you think I am?"

Darius snapped back to reality, but his eyes were glued to Anisha's figure. She looked so much different. She looked even colder and more breathtaking than Karina.

As he thought about it, he remarked, "You've completely changed your look, Mrs. Fields. I didn't even recognize you."

Anisha couldn't be bothered to dwell on it. "We need to find a way to fit in and live here."

Darius looked around. After making sure no one was there, he asked, "Didn't you say you wanted revenge? Why bother settling down here?"

Anisha furrowed her brows. Springflower was at her command, and taking out Matthew was at the top of her list.

However, she also had bigger plans-to stay on this land and start gathering the intelligence she needed. But she couldn't reveal that to Darius.

Anisha thought for a moment and added, "Karina and Allen died here. I just want to live here and be with them."

Darius was dumbfounded. What the hell? Was Anisha thinking of spending the rest of her life here?

What about him? Was he going to stick around here with her forever?

Darius went quiet for a moment. Thinking something was off, he decided to clear things up. "Are you seriously planning to spend the rest of your life here, Mrs. Fields?"

Anisha nodded. "That's right. Karina and Allen died on this land, so being here feels like I'm still with them. Since you love Karina so much, why not stay here with me forever and keep her company?"

Hearing that, Darius was stupefied.

After moving to Eastoria, he lost the right to inherit Vital Restorative Remedies, and that was a big hit to him. Plus, he'd done some shady stuff that could come back to haunt him.

Darius was dying to get back to Eastoria, but Anisha wanted him to stay here. It was driving him crazy.noveldrama

Noticing Darius went quiet, Anisha snapped, "Don't you want to be here with Karina?"

Darius couldn't possibly turn down Anisha's demand. If he did, he'd have no place to go on this land, and he couldn't return to Eastoria either.

Looking all pitiful, Darius replied, "I'm fine staying here with Karina. I love her, and I want to be with her for the rest of my life. I'm just worried that since you're from Eastoria, it might draw some attention. Plus, if anyone finds out what I did, things will be over for me. Worse yet, you might get dragged into it too."

Anisha coldly added, "Obviously, I need a new identity here. You know I've spoken Cafranese since I was little. No one would ever suspect I'm from Eastoria. On top of that, we can pretend to be a married couple. Nobody will figure out who I really am."

Act like a married couple?

Darius looked at Anisha, and his heart started racing. Even his breathing grew heavy.

After marrying Karina, he realized that Anisha was a widow, and he had his share of naughty thoughts.

After all, that was how the story played out in adult films, but he wasn't brave enough. He feared that if things were different in real life, he'd be totally screwed.

He didn't expect Anisha to suggest the idea after Karina's death. "Okay. I'm fine with pretending to be a married couple with you."

Anisha approvingly nodded. "Also, I want you to patch things up with Tony, or at least pretend to. You need to get that medical book."

It was that medical literature again!

Darius shook his head. "No way. If I go back to Uncle Tony and Matthew finds out about it, he'll kill me for sure. I'm lucky just to be alive."

Anisha's look hardened. "Do you realize the value of Vital Restorative Remedies? That book is worth more than everything the Fields family owns. You have to get your hands on the book no matter the price you have to pay."

No matter what it'd cost, huh? Would that mean sacrificing his life for the book?

Darius was on the verge of losing it. Judging from Anisha's words, wouldn't that mean he had to give up his life for the book?

Right then, he couldn't help but feel how stupid it was to leave the Carling family and lose the chance to inherit the medical literature.
