Back in the dungeon, Victoria was tortured beyond recognition. Both of her feet had been consumed by wild beasts, and the bones in her body were all broken. She looked nothing like the wealthy lady she once was.

Victoria's heart soared when she heard the sound of a door opening. She was manic as she clawed her way toward it with both of her hands. "You finally agreed to see me again, Wilson."

However, Victoria's gaze instantly contorted into one of resentment when she saw that Yvette was the one who walked in. The look on her face made it seem like she wanted to tear Yvette apart.

"What are you doing here? Why did you show up, bitch? Where is Wilson? I want to see him!"

Yvette looked at Victoria coldly. She didn't have an ounce of compassion left for the latter's current state. After all, Victoria brought this tragic fate to herself. She deserved no compassion.

"He won't be seeing you anymore," Yvette said flatly.

"No..." Victoria murmured sorrowfully, and her eyes brimmed with malice. Lionel had tortured her and turned her into this sorry state, but Wilson still wouldn't see her. She couldn't accept that he had become so heartless.

No, Yvette must've stopped Wilson from seeing her. Victoria believed that to be the truth. That had to be why he didn't check on her. It was all Yvette's fault.

Yvette frowned when she saw the maddened look on Victoria's face. She decided she wouldn't waste one more second on the latter. She instructed Lionel coldly, "Use any means necessary to make her tell us what we want to know."

Lionel wore a gloomy expression and swept a glance at Victoria, who was clearly

out of her mind. Then, he responded respectfully, "Understood, Ms. Murray."

Varian condescendingly, who was now kneeling on the floor.

"M-Master. I've just received news that the assassin organization we dispatched to seize Yvette had failed their mission." Varian spoke with a trembling voice, and his body shivered. He was clearly afraid that the masked man would be

infuriated.

However, the man's emotions were concealed by the mask that covered his entire face, making it impossible to know what he was thinking. "They failed?"

Varian was gripped with a more intense fear. He gritted his teeth and responded, "Y-Yes, master."

The men dispatched were cold-blooded mercenaries who would kill without a second thought. They were somewhat reputable figures who held ranks on the Shadow Killer leaderboard on the dark web.

However, these very men failed to subjugate Yvette, who was merely a young lady. What a bunch of pathetic losers.

The masked man snickered.

Varian's body trembled uncontrollably when he heard the sinister sound. He spoke up anxiously, "Forgive me, master. I'll send more men to capture Yvette. She will be brought to you. I swear it!"
