Talented Heiress: A Rose With Thorns

Chapter 835

"Yvie, you're finally back! I missed you so much!"

As soon as Yvette stepped out of the car at Murray Manor, Yara rushed over and hugged her tightly.

A warm feeling blossomed in Yvette's heart. She gently returned the hug as she spoke softly, "Mom, I missed you all too."

Yara ignored the "all" in Yvette's words—her mind only focused on the fact that Yvette missed her. Her smile became even brighter.

"Yvie, congratulations on winning the competition! I can't believe my precious daughter is Vern, the world's leading medical scientist! You're amazing!"

As she mentioned this, pride radiated from Yara's face. "My precious daughter really makes me proud! She's the best child a mother could ask for!"

Watching this scene, Jacob and the other four brothers, who stood a short distance away, looked on longingly. They dared not compete with Yara for Yvette's attention and could only watch enviously.

"Mom, okay, okay, please let go of Yvie. It's our turn to hug her!"

Finally, Sean couldn't hold back and bravely spoke up. His words instantly gained enthusiastic approval from the other three.

"Sean is right, Mom. You can't monopolize Yvie!"

"Yeah! W we have so much to talk to Yvie about too!"

The brothers pried Yara off Yvette, pushing her to the back.

"You boys, always fighting with me over Yvie!" Yara was both amused and annoyed, shaking her head helplessly with a smile as she gently chided them.

Sean managed to squeeze to the front, his grin wide, reaching out as if to hug Yvette. "Yvie, you're finally back! I missed you so much!"

But before he could touch her, Ashton kicked him aside. "Get lost! Don't touch our sister with your dirty hands!"

Then, as Ashton turned to face Yvette, his expression instantly softened. "Yvie, congratulations on winning the championship. I prepared a gift for you-"

Before he could finish, lan pushed him aside forcefully. "I think Yvie would rather talk to me about the research institute's matters right now. You all step aside!"

"Yvie just got back. She doesn't want to hear about that stuff!"

Jacob smiled but didn't hold back as he grabbed lan and tossed him aside, walking up to his cherished sister. "Yvie, come with me!"

The moment he said this, Ashton and the other three bristled.

"Woah, Jacob, that's so unfair!"

"Yeah, you're taking Yvie just so you can have her all to yourself!"

"Who's the eldest around here?" Jacob cast a cold gaze over them, intimidating them. "Hmm?"

The three of them instinctively shrank back, but they stood united.

"Jacob, you can't use your age as an excuse to monopolize Yvie. We won't agree to it!"

"Right, Jacob, we're definitely not letting you take Yvie away!"

Jacob narrowed his eyes dangerously. "Looks like you all need a good lesson."

Watching them argue, Yvette felt a headache.coming on. She clicked her tongue softly, once again realizing that having so many brothers wasn't necessarily @good thing.

She wished she could give a few of them away to other families!

While the four of them were bickering, Yvette quietly slipped up to the second

floor. As she entered her room, she received a video call from Jordan.

When she answered, Evelynn's cute face appeared on the screen.

"Yvette!"

Hearing her soft, sweet voice, Yvette couldn't help but smile. "Hmm, is there something you need from me?"

Evelynn, on the screen, touched her

nose shyly and spoke in a small

voice. "There's nothing really. I just missed you. When I woke up today and went to find you and Wilson to play, learned that you had returned to Croedal!"

"I'm sorry, something serious happened, and I had to return urgently. I didn't even

have time to tell you," Yvette comforted her gently.noveldrama

"Yvette, I'm not upset! I just missed

you all a bit!" Evelynn, ever the considerate child, replied sweetly. "Alright, go ahead and take care of your business. I'll miss you every day!"

Yvette's lips curved in a small smile. "Alright."

Upon seeing Evelynn's happy expression after the call ended, Jordan said dotingly, "Now that you've seen Ms. Murray, can we finally have breakfast?"

"Yes!" Evelynn smiled sweetly, obediently taking hold of Jordan's large hand. "Daddy, let's hurry. I'm already hungry!"

Watching Evelynn's lively demeanor, the fondness in Jordan's eyes deepened. "Alright, alright. I'll take you now!"

As they walked out of the room, they ran into Horace.

"President Locke, when will Ms. Murray return to continue treating Ms. Evelynn?" Horace asked anxiously.

Jordan, with his usual indifference toward Horace, still answered, "I don't know."

Yvette could only return once things were settled in Croedal. In the meantime, he needed to gather the essential ingredients for the antidote as soon as possible.

Horace's face fell at his answer. "What? President Locke, even you don't know when she'll be back?"

If Yvette didn't return soon, how much longer would he have to wait to learn her acupuncture technique?

Growing increasingly anxious, Horace clenched his hands at his sides.

He was set to return to his country soon; he couldn't afford to wait any longer! He had to come up with a plan!

As his mind raced, an audacious idea began to form.

If Evelynn were to fall ill again, Yvette would surely come back! That way, he could

finally have a chance to secretly learn her acupuncture method!

With this thought, a sinister grin crept onto Horace's face, his gaze turning malicious as it fell on Evelynn's back.

To successfully steal Yvette's acupuncture method, he'd have to make Evelynn suffer a bit more!

After all, she had already endured so much pain before-what harm could a bit more discomfort do to her now?
