Chapter 269
Chapter 269:noveldrama
“I know everything now,” I spat. “You conspired with Luna Anna to have Jasmine kidnapped. You helped set the trap, knowing exactly what it would do to her. You betrayed this pack. You betrayed me.”
Her eyes widened, panic finally seeping in. She knew there was no way out of this. Her mask cracked, and for a split second, she looked like a cornered animal.
“It wasn’t supposed to go that far,” she muttered, her voice barely above a whisper.
Her eyes flashed with venom. “You’ve already made your decisions clear, Ryder. You’re just a hypocrite, hiding behind your self-righteous power.”
Ace was practically foaming at the mouth. The audacity of this woman, standing here after everything she’d done, still talking back, still daring to breathe the same air as Jasmine.
I grabbed her by the jaw, forcing her to look into my eyes.
“You tried to poison Jasmine with wolfsbane, and I let you live. I showed you mercy because your father once saved my parents. But this? You’ve crossed the line, Isabelle.”
She spat at my feet, her eyes blazing. “You think I care about mercy? You’ve treated me like shit since the day she arrived. What’s the point of living when I’m already dead to you?” By ‘she,’ she was referring to Jasmine.
Her words were sharp, bitter, but I didn’t care. Sympathy was a luxury I couldn’t afford. I leaned in closer, my voice dropping to a dangerous whisper.
I tightened my grip. “You think that matters? You let your jealousy, your pathetic fucking envy, put the life of my mate at risk. And now you’re standing here, still trying to justify it?”
Her words were sharp, bitter, but I didn’t care. Sympathy was a luxury I couldn’t afford. I leaned in closer, my voice dropping to a dangerous whisper.
“You’re right. You mean nothing to me. You’ve been dead to me since the moment you tried to harm my mate.”

Her eyes widened just a fraction at the venom in my voice, but she recovered quickly, her lips curling into a snarl. “She’s your weakness, Ryder. You’d destroy yourself for her, and you know it. That’s why you’ll never win.”
I let go of her jaw, the urge to break something—anything—threatening to consume me. My muscles coiled tight, my vision blurring with rage. Ace was howling, demanding justice.
“She’s not my weakness,” I hissed. “She’s my reason to fucking destroy anyone who dares to hurt her.” I turned away, trying to suppress the violent need clawing at my insides. Isabelle’s words grated on me, but they didn’t matter. Nothing she said would ever justify her actions.
Her eyes glistened with a mixture of hatred and desperation. “You never looked at me the way you look at her,” she hissed. “I was loyal to you, Ryder. I loved you, and you treated me like I was nothing.” Her nostrils flared, tears now spilling down her cheeks. But there was no remorse in her eyes—just anger, twisted and ugly.
“I did what I had to do,” she snapped. “I knew you’d never choose me over her. But if she was out of the way—”
“Enough.” The word was a whip crack in the air.
I turned to Kade. “Get the Rogue Alpha in here. Now.”
Kade nodded and left the room without a word. Isabelle’s breathing quickened, her eyes darting to the door like she was calculating an escape. She wouldn’t get one. Not this time.
