Jilted Ex-wife Billionaire Heiress

Chapter 92

Chapter 92 Annoying Gnat

When the manager ran upstairs, sounding out of breath, Regina asked, 'I thought you said Pat's busy."

'She is,' the manager placed both hands on her knees.

It was tiring work, running up those stairs in her high heels.

She straightened up and tilted her head in Darya's direction.

The unspoken message in that gesture was loud and clear-Pat was with customers; of course she was busy.

Why couldn't Regina see that for herself?

'But I'm a VIP client here,' Regina insisted. 'I booked Pat's service first.'

Felicia rolled her eyes when Regina wasn't looking.

She'd tried to pull the same stunt last time at Remède, but it turned out that Darya was a VIP customer there,

too.

Felicia and her mother suffered the double humiliation of being blacklisted by the SPA as well as witnessing Avery transferring the SPA's ownership to Darya.

She wondered if it was going to turn out the same this time.

Regina, on the other hand, was unaware of the previous incident.

She turned to Darya and smiled apologetically. 'Miss Miller, what a coincidence running into you here. I'm sorry

to barge in like this, but it looks like your makeup's already done. Could I borrow Pat?'

Bianca snorted derisively. 'There are plenty of stylists downstairs. You can use any of them. Why must you

borrow Pat?'

She ran her eyes up and down Regina's outfit. 'Or do you just have the bad habit of wanting what you can't

have? First, you stole Darya's husband. Which was fine since Darya got bored with him anyway. Now you are

trying to snatch her stylist? What are you, a five-year-old?'

Regina bit her lower lip. 'I don't know what you talking about. I was just asking if

'Oh, just drop the act!' Bianca rolled her eyes. 'I'm not one of those men who think with their dicks. Your

pitiful act's not gonna work on me.'

Regina's body shook.

She covered her mouth with one hand as if shocked by what she just heard. 'What...what a repulsive thing to

say!'

Felicia sighed quietly.

It looked like Darya's friend won this round.

Perhaps Regina wasn't as smart as she hoped.

The manager wrung her hands. 'Miss Cavanaugh, will you please talk to your friend? We do have stylists

available downstairs.

Regina claimed to be a VIP customer here, but the manager had no idea who she

was.

After all, they sold thousands of VIP memberships each year.

The manager was only in charge of the VVIPS.

Regina heard the woman. 'But I booked Pat specifically!'

She hadn't.

She and Felicia had come here on a whim and didn't make an appointment.

But this was no longer about the stylist.

It was about not allowing Darya to score a point over her.

Bianca said to her stylist, 'Maria, will you spray a bit more of that perfume? The room stinks. Somebody here probably forgot to brush their teeth this morning.'

The stylist tried hard to suppress a giggle.

Bianca could crack all the jokes she wanted, but Maria wouldn't risk losing her job by laughing at another

customer.

Regina clenched her fists.

Darya was focusing on something on her phone as if she couldn't be bothered by what was happening in the

room.

She took no notice of Regina, like she was nothing more than an annoying gnat. Regina felt blood rushing to her face.

She said to Felicia, 'Will you call your brother?'

'Why?' Felicia frowned.

Regina pulled her to one side and whispered in her ear, 'He gave me the VIP membership card. He could talk to the manager and ask her to let Pat serve us.'

Felicia was reluctant. 'I don't want to talk to Micah. He froze all my credit cards.' 'But he's still your brother,' Regina said earnestly. 'The manager has shown us no respect. If we leave right now,

then everybody will know the Cavanaughs are pushovers.'

'You are not a Cavanaugh,' Felicia pointed out.

Regina took a deep breath and reminded herself to be patient.

She had always known Felicia was a bit of a brainless hothead.

Those who liked her praised her bankness

In the past, Regina had used that to her advantage

But now she felt the pain of having to communicate with someone who was too dumb to get the message.

she worked up a bashful smile. 'You know Micah and 1...It's only a matter of time before we become sisters-in

law'

She held Felicia's hand. I only want what's best for the Cavanaughs. Call your brother. He can't stay mad at you forever. You are family, after all. Trust me, call

him.'

'Why don't you call him?' Felicia was beginning to waver.

She agreed with Regina, actually.

It was important for the public to see that no one could walk all over the

Cavanaughs.

But she got cold feet as soon as she touched her phone.

She had gotten into enough trouble in the past couple of months.

What if her brother grounded her again?

Regina sucked in another breath, then proceeded to explain to Felicia.

While the two of them whispered, Darya was talking to the manager, who looked shocked, then pleased, and efinally exhilarated.

She whipped out her phone, made a call, then spoke in an urgent undertone.

She passed the phone to Darya, who spoke a few sentences to the other person on the line.

Darya hung up, then did something on her own phone.

Bianca watched the exchange, fascinated. 'My dad always says I spend money

like water. He should have seen

you.'

Darya waited for the confirmation text, then waved her phone. 'Done. It's worth it if

it buys us some peace."

Meanwhile, Felicia was finally convinced by Regina.

She dialled Micah's number and prayed her brother would pick up.

Darya gestured to her. 'Miss Cavanaugh, I'm afraid I'm going to have to ask you

and your friend to leave."

'What? Why?' Felicia looked up in surprise.

She had a bad feeling about where this was headed.
