A Surprising Twist of Fates (Sierra and Theo)

Looking at Sierra's displeased expression, Benson noted that she was no longer as confident as she used to be.

Remembering what Sophie had said earlier, he clenched his hands into fists as his eyes reddened. Then, he asked, "When exactly did you get together with Theo? Did you get together with him before we broke up?"

In the face of her ex-boyfriend's false accusations of her cheating on him, she was infuriated, looking straight at him.

Sarcastically, she answered, "You and I both know why we broke up. Stop projecting your own actions onto me. Not everyone is like you, fooling around with Sophie while having a girlfriend."

Noticing that Benson had paled, Sierra pressed on sharply, "You should not regret the decisions you've made back then. Benson, don't make me look down on you."

She had ended up bruised and battered. Out of gratitude toward him for saving her life once, she had decided to part ways with him peacefully, saving Benson the dignity he needed.

Now that they were even, he was acting all regretful. Who was he pretending to be affectionate toward?

Just because he was unwilling to accept that she had moved on, he decided to accuse her of things she had never done.

Sierra refused to tolerate his behavior.

Benson's eyes were filled with regret as he grabbed her hands, saying, "Cee, I was just confused. As long as you're willing to take me back, I'll divorce Sophie right away, and we can go back to how things were before. Is that alright?"

Exasperated, Sierra was at a loss for words. She shook his hand off and warned coldly, "Sophie's pregnant with your child. Even if you were just confused, you still had something with her, and the fact remains that you two are married and expecting a child.

"What on earth are you even doing now? Are you planning to abandon your family?"

Benson staggered back, feeling hurt. He laughed bitterly and looked at her in disappointment. "Are you refusing me because you don't want me to abandon my family, or you can't bear to leave Theo?"

Sierra had been prepared to step past him and leave when she saw his accusatory look. "What are you trying to say? What does this have to do with Theo?"

Seeing her defending Theo so readily, Benson became sure that something had been going on between them for a long time.

He shouted, "You and Theo have been together for a long time now, which means you cheated on me with him. How dare you say that I cheated on you with Sophie? You two betrayed me first."

Speechless, Sierra's eyes widened as she listened to the accusations he was throwing. "What nonsense are you spewing? I only decided to marry Theo after we had broken up."

Unconvinced, Benson replied, "Why did you decide to marry him after breaking up with me? Why didn't you just marry someone else? How will you explain how close you two are around each other, then?"

Sierra insisted, "Although my relationship with Theo is none of your business, I refused to let you accuse me of such things. I also refuse to let you drag Theo's name through the mud.

"Theo and I had developed feelings for each other after our marriage. As for why we are so close..."

Smiling, she continued, "Maybe it's because he's sincere enough in our relationship. He is willing to put in the effort to maintain it rather than just using words."

Benson, who had always been indecisive and unsure about love, fell into silence. His gaze was filled with hurt and suspicion.

Looking at his face, Sierra suddenly felt like he was a stranger. She smiled self- deprecatingly, adding, "Honestly, we've never really gotten to know each other. I think that things happened for the best."

Unwilling to give, he wanted to say something more and persuade her, but before he could say anything, a hand reached out to the space between them.

"Sierra, are you alright?" Theo asked as he looked at Sierra in concern.noveldrama

She then took the opportunity to hold onto his arms and smiled brightly. "I'm fine. Have you finished your work?"

Theo nodded before leading her down the stairs. Then, he turned around and shot Benson a warning look.

Frozen, Benson watched them disappear from his line of sight.
