Chapter 350 Calm
Everyone was already seated downstairs, waiting for dinner. At the sound of footsteps, they all looked up to see Sierra chatting animatedly with a bright expression, while the tall man beside her lowered his head slightly to listen attentively.
Benson stared at their tightly clasped hands and felt as if he had been punched in the chest.
Over the past few meetings, he had noticed the growing intimacy between Sierra and Theo. What had once been distant politeness now evolved into naturally holding hands and embracing each other. Their relationship was deepening quickly.
If he didn't act now, he was going to lose her forever.
Sierra had no idea what Benson was thinking. If she did, she would have told him in his face that it would be useless no matter what he did.
After dinner, everyone stayed in the living room for a while, chatting with Edward. Then, they eventually headed upstairs to rest.
For some reason, Benson followed Sierra closely. The moment he saw her entering Theo's bedroom, he suddenly reached out. "You can't stay with him."
Sierra was stunned momentarily. Then, she turned her arm, trying to shake him off. "Theo is my husband. If I don't stay with him, where else would I be?"
Benson's face was filled with urgency as he pointed to her old bedroom. "Go back your own room."
She let out a short laugh, feeling both amused and exasperated. She didn't bother arguing, simply focusing on prying his fingers off her arm.
"Cee, I know you married Uncle Theo just to spite me. I realize now that I was wrong—I regret everything. Stop punishing me."
For the first time, Benson admitted his mistakes, looking visibly uncomfortable.
"Let go." Sierra's voice was icy, and her eyes were devoid of any warmth. Her frigid gaze left him frozen in place.
Why was she so calm?
There was no lingering affection or resentment in her eyes, which was something he hadn't expected. There was no love or hate.
At that moment, genuine panic set in. Benson tightened his grip as if holding onto her physically could somehow preserve what they had once shared.
"Ah..." A sharp pain shot through Sierra's arm, and she couldn't help but cry out.
Yet, Benson acted as if he hadn't heard her, and his voice was filled with desperation. "Cee, I only married Sophie because I had no choice. That child was a mistake. I only want our child—"noveldrama
"Benson, let her go."
A cold, deep voice cut through the air.
Theo had just exited Edward's room when he saw Sierra being harassed. His gaze darkened as he strode over, forcefully prying Benson's fingers off her arm.
At the sight of the red marks left behind on her skin, Theo's expression became frigid. He glanced toward Edward's room, after which he coldly instructed, "Scram."
Benson was afraid of Theo, but he still turned to Sierra, hoping for some kind of reaction. Unfortunately, she didn't even spare him a glance, which made him upset.
In the end, Sophie had to drag Benson back to their room. Soon after, the sound of their argument echoed through the halls.
Back in their bedroom, Theo sat Sierra down and examined her arm. The bruising was already starting to form. It was a clear sign of how much force Benson had used.
"I'll get the first aid kit." Theo pressed his lips into a thin line. Before Sierra could stop him, he had already left the room.
Sighing, she gently touched the red spot on her arm. "It's fine. It doesn't even hurt that much."
Trying to reassure herself, she ran a hand through her hair, frustration creeping in at Benson's persistence.
When Theo returned with the first aid kit, he sat down beside her without a word, carefully dabbing disinfectant onto her arm with a cotton swab.
"Theo, are you angry?" she asked softly, watching his side profile.
He tossed the used cotton swab aside and replied in a low voice, "I should have come back with you."
Sure, he was livid, but not because of Sierra or Benson.
What do you think?
