Chapter 348 Arrogant
Theo assumed she was shy about buying him clothes for the first time. Holding the outfit against himself, he smiled. "The size is just right, and the style looks good, too."
In fact, he hadn't worn hoodies like this since college.
With a bright smile, Sierra packed the clothes away and placed them on top of the suitcase. "I know this isn't your usual style, but it's just for a few days during the New Year. You'll survive.
"Besides, you look good in anything."
Theo gazed at her, unable to suppress the smile tugging at his lips. Now, he understood why Edward was so fond of her.
Once everything was packed, they headed upstairs to rest.
...
Theo and Sierra returned to the Gray Manor early the next morning.
"Sierra, you're finally back!" Edward greeted them warmly, taking her hand with a doting expression. "I had the staff prepare all your favorite foods."
"Thank you, Edward." Sierra smiled sweetly, and her eyes were full of anticipation.
Theo watched them quietly as they chatted, completely forgetting his presence. Shaking his head with a faint smile, he stood up. "You two continue without me. I'm heading to the office for a bit."
The two of them barely acknowledged him before returning to their conversation. With a chuckle, Theo turned and left.
Meanwhile, Janet was brainstorming a way to please Edward, hoping he would allocate more shares to Benson. She called him to ask whether he needed anything, only to learn that Theo and Sierra had already moved back for the New Year.
"That brother of yours really knows how to kiss Edward's ass. He even brought his wife over just to make him happy." Janet hung up the phone angrily, storming upstairs to complain to Liam.
Liam frowned, casting her a cold glance. "Watch what you're saying."
She huffed and crossed her arms. "Am I wrong? He's just trying to ingratiate himself with Edward to secure all the shares!"
Narrowing his eyes with an icy glint, Liam closed his book. He spoke calmly, but there was an underlying sharpness to his words. "It's the New Year. It's only right to spend more time with the elders.
"Why don't we take Benson and Sophie and join them? It'll be livelier, and Dad will be even happier."noveldrama
Janet clapped in realization. "You're right! If they can go back, so can we. Edward has high expectations for his great-grandchild."
With their plan set, she immediately called Benson home.
Hearing that they were going to the Gray Manor, Benson hesitated. He wasn't fond of these visits as Edward always reminded him to take good care of Sophie.
Janet noticed his reluctance and pulled him aside, lowering her voice. "Sierra is there too."
The moment he heard that name, something flickered in Benson's eyes—an expectation buried deep in his heart.
When Sierra saw Benson's family arriving at the Gray Manor, her smile almost faltered. "Hello, Liam, Janet."
Liam smiled warmly. "You were still calling me Mr. Gray last year. It's hard to believe you're already calling me by my name now."
Behind him, Benson had been watching Sierra the entire time. When he heard those words, his chest tightened, and he subconsciously placed a hand over his heart.
Always quick to stir trouble, Janet seized the opportunity to add fuel to the fire. "Theo is older and has a bad temper. He's not as patient as Benson, who actually knows how to make people happy. Sierra, I bet it's been tough for you."
Sierra immediately caught the malice and provocation in her tone. Her smile vanished, replaced by a cool, distant expression. "Not at all. Theo is wonderful. I love how mature and reliable he is."
