The Rebirth of the Betrayed Alpha

Hearing those words rings aloud In his ear, Nathaniel runs his hand through his hair, chuckling, his eyes darken.

"What did you just say?"

"I don't have time for this Nathaniel" she tries to walk away but he holds her arm.

"Don't walk away from me when I'm not done talking to you"

"What else is there to talk about?"

"Everything!" He yells "We have to talk about what you said. I didn't get it"

Wriggling her arm out of his grip, Alexandra tucks her hair behind her ear, biting gently on her lower lip, she stares into his eyes and he stares back into her sparkling beautiful eyes, which he had grown fond of seeing every day.

"This is the last time I'm going to ask Alexandra so please think carefully before you respond" He exhales deeply, trying to calm his nerves. "Come with me to my pack"

A lot of emotions run through Alexandra's eyes as she stares at him intently trying to figure out something she isn't sure about.

Alexandra breathes in for a moment and exhales. "I won't accept your invitation because I'm angry and don't want to go to your pack"

Nathaniel chuckles unbelievably, staring down at her, he could see right through her. Deep down he had thought he could change her mind since they were getting somewhere or may have been up to something he isn't sure but hearing her reject his invitation over and over again made his blood boil. He admired her a lot and Alexandra was aware of it and despite being aware of the truth, she couldn't help but refuse his offer. She has been doing a lot and although Nathaniel has been overlooking it all since she was her mate, this was just too much and he couldn't take it anymore.

"What the hell is wrong with you?". He yells

"What do you mean?"

"What do I mean?" He glares "Are you messing with me right now? Is that what this is"

"I don't know what you are talking about"

"You don't know" He scoffs

"Honestly Nathaniel I don't. I'm tired and stressed out, need my beauty sleep" she tries to walk past him but he holds her arm, slightly pushing her back.

"Don't walk away when I'm not done talking to you" He snaps, enraged.

Seeing the scary look in his eyes, Alexandra gulps down the lump forming in his throat, she had not seen this side of him.

"How dare you do this to me?"

Alexandra opens her mouth but on second thought closes it.

"What did I ever do to you? I understand that I said some mean words to you but I already apologized but is not like you are some Saint either"

"Nathaniel" she whispers

"I thought we were on the same page, thought I meant something to you. I let you into my life, played with you, laughed with you, and even when you say hurtful things to me and accuse me of spending time with other women, I don't say a word. What am I to you? Some toys you use just for amusement"

Alexandra blinks her eyes, and a lot of emotions run through them as she searches for the right words to say.

"What am I to you?" He screams and Alexandra jumps, startled.noveldrama

"You use me when you want to make Adams jealous, you talk about me when you want people to hate Olivia. You brag about me only when you want to hurt them. Is that all I am to you?" He holds her shoulders. "Is it?"

Alexandra tries to say something but on second thought pushes it aside.

"Say something!" He barks, livid.

"You are hurting me" she whispers

"Well you are hurting me too"

"Nathaniel please" tears crowd her eyes and he quickly loosens his grip

"You are a horrible person. I have never met someone like you" He whispers. Alexandra gasps, bewildered.

"What you do is that you look at the people around you and you step on them like a piece of trash. You have no conscience Alexandra, you don't care about someone's feelings and you are damn selfish"

Hearing those sharp cutting words, Alexandra takes a step backward. She had not expected him to have reacted like this.

"Say something!" He yells.

Opening her mouth, trying to find the right words, Alexandra closes her mouth, unable to form a sentence.

"If I had known what sort of person you are, I would have stayed away from you. You make me sick Alexandra"

Tears drop down her cheeks but she quickly wipes them off, hating to show any weakness.

"I hate the day that I set my eyes on you, the day my wolf howled out to you and more especially I detest the day that I kissed you"

Alexandra clutches tightly against her clothes as the memory of their kiss runs through her head.

"Nathaniel please stop," she thinks to herself as her heart squeezes, bleeding as it beats.

"You want me to stop" he scoffs, his eye burning through her and Alexandra closes her mouth, unable to speak because the pain in her heart was too much and she was too scared to speak for fear that she doesn't cry when she speaks.

"I guess you are just a colossal waste of time"

Glancing around, Alexandra's cold gaze burns into his eyes. He was going too far and she wasn't too far from breaking down.

"Taking you to the inn, spending time with you, doing all those crazy things that I haven't done with anyone with you was my mistake and I'm sorry if I suffocated you or made you do things you were not ready for or didn't want and forgive me also Alexandra for being the fool who kept on chasing you all the time, for being that mate who wanted to keep going and didn't want to give up, who believed that there could ever be us" He smiles, his eyes filled with emotions as memories of their time together floods his mind.

"But here it ends so now you can have your precious Adams and he can come to your house as he pleases and you can spend the rest of your life with him which is what you've always wanted even though you were just a coward who wouldn't admit it" He states walking away and Alexandra falls to the ground.

"Nathaniel" she whispers staring at him while he moves towards his car, all Alexandra wanted to do was run towards him, engulfing him tightly in a hug, whispering the words that she had kept away from him, the very words he wanted to hear and she wanted to tell him ever since but was waiting for the right time and when the right time came, her ego got in the way and all she wanted to do was watch him beg her.

She thought it would make her feel better but it didn't, it ripped her heart apart for Nathaniel wasn't just anyone, he was her mate and no matter how she denied him, she fancied his company and still couldn't forget their kiss that other day.

"Nathaniel" she states, this time a bit loud but Nathaniel couldn't hear her since the windows were all up.

As he locks eyes with her, Alexandra couldn't help but wonder if this was the end or just the beginning of their story and if she would ever get the chance to see him and tell him about the only thing that has been lingering in her head.
