The Girlboss Begs for Remarriage

Chapter 2232

Clara spaced out for a moment but soon turned to leave with tears welling up in her eyes. She would certainly fawn all over Frank if she could do it again, but regrets really were inconsequential.

Ms. Lewitt then went up to Jada, ready to ingratiate herself. "Don't worry, Ms. Turin. I will-"

She did not expect Jada to slap her before she could finish, snapping, "Get out!"

Ms. Lewitt was left clutching her cheek in disbelief, until her left cheek started to swell and burn.

Despite her haughty demeanor, Jada never laid a finger on anyone this meant she was furious! As for Ms. Lewitt, she had no chance of keeping her job!

On the verge of tears, she sobbed, "Please, Ms. Turin! Let me stay... Let me keep my job!"

"Let you keep your job?" Jada snorted. "Even if you're innocent, don't you have responsibility for the people working under you? Not only is Mr. Frankton important to us, but what would people say about us when they find out that we're just a bunch of sycophants?"

Their company had some degree of influence in Shagan, but even then, they really lacked in significance with all the other giants looming over them.

As such, any media backlash would be terrifying, especially if it was some undercover journalist. If they were abused and decided to expose it, that would mean horrific losses.

In short, it did not matter if the issue was that serious-it must be nipped in the bud!

Even so, Ms. Lewitt persisted. "Please, Ms. Turin. I've been loyal for so many years....."

Seeing that Ms. Lewitt was not leaving, Jada promptly called security, who dragged Ms. Lewitt out, kicking and screaming.

Then, turning to Frank, she said, "I apologize for not keeping both eyes on our employees."

Frank shook his head. "No, you've dealt with this well. Let's speak further upstairs."

"Of course." Jada smiled just like a bar hostess, leading the wall.

As they headed to the private elevator used by the CEO, it finally sank in that they were in for a brand new era.

Since Jadą, who was always a wild

spirit, was being so compliant to their new boss, that meant that she

e

would definitely earn Frank's appreciation and strengthen her position further.

And when that happened, the rest of them would suffer!

Soon, everyone took their seats in the meeting room, with Frank starting by introducing himself. "Let's cut to the chase-I'm Lugh Frankton, and I'll be counting on everyone here from now on. That said, I'm not a fan of hard work, let alone managing a major company. So I'll only drop by once a week, while the rest of it is up to you."

Everyone chuckled at his candid speech, while only Jada scowled in silence.

Turning toward her, Frank asked, "Do you have anything to add, Ms. Turin?"

"This meeting is over," Jada said, sending everyone away as if she knew Frank, and led him to the CEO's office.

The interior design there was simple yet aristocratic, with seemingly mundane vases and murals clearly all artifacts bought with a king's ransom.

Frank smirked. "Pax Jaric really knows how to live a good life."noveldrama

He settled in the office armchair and found it less comfortable than Vicky Turnbull's.

That was when Jada said, "Mr. Frankton, since it's just the two of us, allow me to address you as master."

"Wait, you're from the Cerulean

Summit Legion?" Frank exclaimed. "Well, it makes sense. You're

beautiful, and Pax Jaric would

definitely be interested, th

you

have strong enough connections to rebuff him."

Jada nodded. "Nothing gets past you! And don't worry no one would get to claim me, aside from you."

"Is that an offer?" Frank's eyes lit up, spreading his arms.

Catching her cue, Jada started to unbutton her blouse.

"Wait!" Frank promptly stopped her he just wanted to tease her and did not expect her to take it seriously.
