Talented Heiress: A Rose With Thorns

Chapter 831

After Yvette finished washing up, Wilson took her downstairs for breakfast.

Seeing her eating so hurriedly, he sighed. In his deep, magnetic voice, he said calmly, "Baby, Jasper is at the hospital with Grandma. It's fine if we go a bit later; there's no rush."

Yvette had barely taken a few bites before stopping, clearly not having taken his words to heart. "I want to get to the hospital and see Grandma as soon as possible!"

Seeing that she'd eaten so little, Wilson frowned disapprovingly. His voice was soft as he coaxed her, "Baby, eat a bit more. Otherwise, when Grandma sees you, she'll scold me for letting you get too thin."

Yvette's ears turned a little pink, and her long lashes fluttered. Realizing he had a point, she obediently lowered her head and continued eating breakfast.

Wilson watched her warmly.

How could Yvette be so cute even while eating?noveldrama

"I'm full now. Can we go to the hospital to see Grandma?" she asked eagerly.

Wilson reached out, lightly touching her stomach, and then smiled tenderly. "Alright, we'll head out now."

Half an hour later, the car pulled up steadily at the hospital entrance.

Hand in hand, Wilson led Yvette inside.

"Wilson, Yvette, you're here!" Jasper immediately got up upon seeing Wilson, offering his seat to them.

Although Martha's face was still quite pale, she looked much better than yesterday, when she had been barely hanging on.

"Ah, Wilson, you're back!" she greeted weakly.

"How could I not return when something this serious happened to you?" Wilson replied, holding her hand, his voice filled with concern.

"Grandma, do you feel uncomfortable?"

"No." Martha shook her head. "The doctor said I just need to rest well for a while. You and Jasper don't need to worry about me!"

"Grandma, Yvie has been really worried about you too."

With that, Wilson led Yvette to the bedside, holding her hand.

Seeing Martha looking somewhat better, Yvette finally felt relieved and called out to her sweetly. "Grandma."

Oddly, though, Martha responded with a cold silence, completely ignoring Yvette as if she hadn't heard her.

"Grandma?" Wilson frowned as he observed this, his dark eyes narrowing in displeasure.

"I want to see Victoria!" Martha said angrily, ignoring him as well. "Wilson, I heard you kicked her out of the hospital yesterday. Who gave you the right to treat her like that?"

Wilson's eyes narrowed, sensing something was wrong, and he responded firmly, "Grandma, I don't think there was anything wrong with sending away someone who has nothing to do with us."

"Victoria is not just 'someone who has nothing to do with us!!" Martha retorted, her

anger sparking a severe coughing fit.

Seeing her in such discomfort,

Yvette immediately poured her anet

glass of water and brought it over. please have some water

to ease your throat."

"I don't want it!"

Not only did Martha refuse, but she also swatted the glass out of Yvette's hand,

her tone filled with disgust.

"Get out!"
