Chapter 264
Chapter 264:
This time, I was going back on my terms. And I wouldn’t let them take anything else from me.
Jasmine’s POV
The moment we rolled through the gates of the Silverclaw pack, every nerve in my body lit up like a live wire. The familiar scent of pine and damp earth filled the air, but instead of comfort, it made my stomach twist. This place was supposed to be home, but now, it felt like stepping into the mouth of a beast. My fingers dug into the seat beside me, knuckles white, as the memories I tried so hard to bury clawed their way to the surface.
Ryder’s presence beside me was the only thing keeping me from falling apart. His jaw was clenched tight, the veins in his arms standing out as his fists rested against his thighs. Ace was barely contained, simmering just beneath Ryder’s skin. I could feel his fury pulsing through the bond, like a thunderstorm ready to break loose.
The car stopped in front of the packhouse, and I took a shaky breath. The grand building that once felt so familiar now loomed over me, casting a dark shadow that seemed to stretch for miles. The front door opened, and Alpha Thane stepped out, his expression a mix of confusion and poorly masked irritation. Right behind him came Luna Anna.

Her sharp, calculating eyes landed on me, and a sneer curled her lips. My stomach lurched. The sight of her made bile rise in my throat. She was still as cold and snake-like as I remembered. Seeing her again was like being doused with ice water—a cruel reminder of the lies and deceit that had festered in this place.
“Alpha Ryder,” Thane said, his tone tight, “this is unexpected.”
Ryder didn’t waste time on pleasantries. His voice was low and cold. “We’re here for Jason. Now.”

Thane’s eyes flickered with hesitation, but a command from Ryder was not something he dared to defy. Moments later, Jason walked out, his hand intertwined with his wife’s—Stephanie. Her belly was round with pregnancy, and the sight of her sent another sick wave rolling through me.
My mind spun. A wife. A baby on the way.
And he still had the audacity to try and trap me? To use me like a puppet while he played family man? My jaw clenched so hard my teeth ached. The depth of his deceit was beyond disgusting.
Jason’s eyes landed on me, and for a brief second, something flickered across his face. Was it guilt? Regret? I didn’t care. Whatever it was, it wasn’t enough to undo what he’d done to me. He had shattered every piece of my trust, my confidence, my soul. And yet, here he stood, as if he still had any right to claim even a shred of me.
Ryder’s voice cut through the tension, calm but lethal. “You didn’t reject her properly. She didn’t accept it. And you had the nerve to exploit that? To tie her to you through blood when you knew she was mine?”
Jason’s expression faltered. His hand tightened around Stephanie’s, but she was looking at him now with confusion and fear in her eyes.
“You’re misunderstanding the situation,” Jason said, his voice trying for calm, but I heard the waver in it.
Ryder stepped forward, his presence like a dark force of nature. “I don’t misunderstand anything. You thought you could trap her, use her for your own sick agenda. You’re done.”
He turned to me then, his eyes blazing. “Jasmine, accept his rejection. Now.”
