Shunned By An Alpha, Cherised By A Lycan

Chapter 262

Chapter 262:

I slammed my fist down, the sharp pain shooting up my arm, grounding me.

Jason’s face flashed in my mind, and my vision went red. The smug look he always wore, the way he’d hurt her, marked her, tainted her. The memory of her screams when she was chained, helpless—it was gasoline to the fire raging in my chest.

I couldn’t let it go, I wouldn’t.

This wasn’t about patience anymore. It wasn’t about strategy. This was about justice. About making sure he paid for every tear she’d shed, every moment of terror she’d endured.

I clenched my fists, my nails digging into my palms. The pain was nothing compared to the ache in my chest.

I wouldn’t let her down again.

When the first light of morning crept through the windows, I was ready. The plan was simple: find Jason and end this. No more waiting, no more second chances.

I walked back to the room, my boots echoing against the cold floors. Seraphina was by Jasmine’s side, helping her into a warm sweater. Her eyes met mine, questioning but resigned.

Jasmine’s gaze lifted, and she smiled softly. It was the kind of smile that didn’t reach her eyes, the kind that tried to hide the cracks beneath the surface. My heart ached, but the steel in my resolve hardened further.

“Where are we going?” she asked, her voice small.

I walked over, brushing my fingers along her cheek. “Somewhere we should’ve gone a long time ago.”

She didn’t ask more. Maybe she didn’t want to know. Maybe she trusted me enough to follow without question. Either way, it didn’t matter.

By the time we stepped outside, the cold morning air biting at our skin, I felt a clarity I hadn’t felt in days. The path ahead was dark, but it was clear.

Jason’s days of haunting her were over. I would make sure of it.

I woke up slowly, my body still heavy with exhaustion. The faintest trace of warmth lingered on the bed beside me. Ryder’s warmth. My fingers brushed the spot where he had been, but it was cold now. He was gone.

A soft sound made me turn my head, and I saw Seraphina sitting by my bedside. Her face was calm, but there was something behind her eyes—like she was holding something back.

“Good morning,” she said softly.noveldrama

I blinked a few times, trying to clear the fog from my mind. My voice came out scratchy. “Where’s Ryder?”

“He had something to take care of,” she said, avoiding my gaze. “But he asked me to help you get ready.”

I frowned, pushing myself up a little. “Get ready for what?”

Her eyes finally met mine, and she hesitated for a moment before saying, “Alpha Ryder wants you to prepare. You’re going to the Silverclaw pack.”

The words hit me like a slap. Silverclaw. The name sent ice through my veins and fire through my heart all at once. My stomach twisted, and I clenched the sheets tighter in my fists. The place I grew up, the place that should’ve felt like home, but all I could think of was deceit, betrayal, and pain.

That place wasn’t home anymore. It was a graveyard of everything I used to believe in.

My chest tightened. I swallowed hard, trying to push down the wave of emotions crashing over me. Memories clawed their way up—the fake smiles, the whispered lies, the way they all turned a blind eye when Jason hurt me. They knew. They all knew. And they did nothing.
