Chapter 858
Chapter 858:
The way Kellan and Allison worked together effortlessly, combined with the earlier violence of the fight, made their partnership seem almost natural.
The sight, however, lit a dangerous spark in Gordon. With a sudden snap, Gordon grabbed a nearby black-clad soldier by the neck and broke it without hesitation. The bloodlust in his eyes grew more apparent with each passing moment.
But Allison had no time to notice his unsettling shift. She could feel the seconds slipping away. Together with Kellan, she pressed Verruckt relentlessly, their attacks aimed at forcing him to make a fatal mistake.
“You really are a persistent bunch of pests,” Verruckt said, his tone calm despite the pain.noveldrama
He pressed a hand against his wound, blood seeping through his fingers. As he watched Allison, an unsettling thought crept into his mind. Her movements had a striking familiarity—sharp, calculated, and unnervingly fast.
It reminded him of the training drills on that desolate island, where only those with extraordinary speed and reflexes could survive.
There was no time to waste. As soon as Verruckt noticed the reinforcements closing in from behind, he quickly gave the command. “Capture them all!”
Allison’s expression tightened. She knew there was no room for delay. “Let’s move.”
Without wasting any time, they headed for the deck. With Kylo’s team providing cover, Allison led everyone in leaping off the cruise ship. “Ms. Clarke, the yacht is ready.”
Their backup was already waiting for them on the water. “Please follow me. Mr. Vargas has everything arranged.” Allison and her group boarded the yacht and set off toward the Galaxy cruise ship.
By the time Verruckt reached the deck, the water was completely empty. The sea stretched out, as dark as a moonless night, like a vast pool of ink.
When Jareth finally arrived, he found chaos waiting for him. Before he could even apologize, Verruckt’s cold voice stopped him. “Who sent those people tonight?”
Verruckt’s voice was calm, but Jareth could feel the anger and deadly intent radiating from him.
“Not sure. They kept their identities hidden.”
Jareth handed over a tablet showing the surveillance footage. “These are the full records. They deliberately avoided the cameras.”
Verruckt gave it a brief glance, his expression unreadable. “Did the deck cameras catch that woman?”
“They did… but it’s not clear enough.”
