Hearing my response, Celeste's expression shifted to an awkward one that came from uncovering a truth she hadn't been expecting.

Her gaze lowered momentarily before suddenly locking on my left hand. The moment she spotted the wedding ring on my finger, her eyes lit up with excitement again. "Ms. Brown, that ring on your finger..." She stared at it, her gaze bright with curiosity.

"Is this the same wedding ring from your marriage with Mr. Cornell?"

I shook my head. "No, I remarried. So, whoever Jeremiah is dating now has nothing to do with me. I'm currently living a happy and fulfilled life."

Celeste's eyes widened in shock. She clearly hadn't expected such explosive news. After all, ever since my divorce, I had never gone public with a new relationship. Most people assumed I had been so deeply hurt by Jeremiah that I had given up on love. No one expected me to remarry so quickly.

She quickly composed herself and continued, "Then, can you share any details about your new husband with us?"

I hesitated. I hadn't discussed this with Eric yet, so I couldn't make the decision on my own. After thinking for a moment, I shook my head. "I'd prefer to keep that private for now. When the time comes for us to make it public, we will."

Though a bit disappointed, Celeste nodded in understanding. She didn't push further and transitioned the interview back to new energy-related topics.

An hour later, the interview finally came to an end.

Once the cameras were turned off, Celeste walked over with a bright smile. She extended her hand. "Ms. Brown, thank you for joining us today. It was a pleasure interviewing you."

Just as I said that, Jack came over from backstage. With a forced smile, he greeted Celeste before grabbing my wrist and dragging me away in front of everyone.

At the end of the hallway, I saw Elsa leaning against the wall. The

moment she saw Jack pulling me

over, she smirked mockingly. Then, in the most dramatic display possible, she reached for Jack's arm, her eyes shimmering with fake tears.

"Jack, why did you bring Jane here? I already told you—I just need a moment alone."

Jack looked at her with great concern, his voice dripping with sympathy as he said, "That won't do. She said mean things about you. It's only right for her to apologize."

With that, he turned to me, his eyes burning with anger. "You made Elsa cry. Apologize to her. Now!"

Hearing that, I stared at Jack in disbelief. "You want me to apologize? For what, exactly? Which part of what I said wasn't true?"

I scoffed, then continued, "Since when did telling the truth become a crime? If that's the case, why don't you go ahead and call the police? Maybe they can arrest me for it."

Jack froze for a second, clearly not expecting me to push back. He quickly regained his composure and snapped, "Do you even realize how the media might twist your words? Elsa is going to be the one getting attacked online because of you! Have you forgotten she has

depression?"

I glanced at Elsa, who looked completely fine. If anything, she seemed too lively

for someone battling depression. Rather, she looked more like someone who

could drive others into depression.

I shrugged helplessly and asked with an innocent expression, "Oh? And that's my

fault? I was asked a question, and I answered it."

I smiled coldly and added, "If anything, I was already protecting her. At the very least, I didn't outright call Elsa a homewrecker. Shouldn't you bethanking me? If I were you, I wouldn't waste time arguing about this. You should be focusing on buying bot accounts to defend Elsa before the show airs."

Then, with a carefree wave, I turned around and walked away.
