Revenge is Best Served… After Reborn

Chapter 1791

"Hey sweetheart, when you start at your new school, remember to say hi to your classmates. This isn't like being overseas. It's your first day, so try to get along with your new friends and don't do anything reckless."

"What's up with you today? Listen, Eastwood College is top-notch. Once you're there..."

"Odie, I'm still talking to you..."

...

Odie had this incredibly long dream.

After that big showdown, they strolled through a corridor that felt like it was bridging another world.

A strong scent hit his nose, and without warning, he was swept into this dream that felt too perfect to wake from.

In his dream, he and his mom were whisked away overseas by some man. After finishing high school abroad at 18, he came back to Devonport with his mom.

For most folks, Devonport's Eastwood College was like an educational paradise, but for their crowd, it was just another high-end school you could dip in and out of. Fiona had been acting odd lately, always bugging him about the past.

But there's no way I'd ever spill what I dreamed about.

This dream was mine alone.

If I could, I'd live in that dream forever.

Because in that dream, there's something I never got to say to her.

Words that might never be voiced, tucked deep in my heart until the end of time.

Time rewound like a fast-forwarded movie.

The scenes outside the window kept switching, and Odie snapped back to reality because of his mom's words.

"Mom, you don't have to keep reminding me. It's just school, not a prison sentence."

Odie casually slung his backpack over his shoulder and hopped out of the car.

Today was freshman orientation, and the entrance of Eastwood College was buzzing with people.

Odie quickly melted into the crowd.

"That kid, always giving me something to worry about," his mom sighed, shaking her head.

"Odie, freshman, head over there to register," a

Odie didn't even bother looking at the form and strolled right into the campus.

Since dreams are bound to end, why stick to the rules?

Odie whistled, treating everyone around him like NPCs in a game, and everything felt fresh and exciting.

He glanced around, eager to find some fun in this new setting.

After all, he'd never been to college and had no clue what campus life was like.

In his mind, school was like being stuck in a dim room, forced to absorb everything useful for a life of crime.

The college vibe was nicer than where he was once confined, but beyond that, it wasn't much different.

"Sophie, your brother is so nice to you. I wish I had a brother like that."

At the mention of 'Sophie,' Odie instinctively turned around.

A girl with long hair flowing down her shoulders was dressed in casual clothes, no makeup, her hair cascading down to her waist. Her face was full of innocence, untouched by the world, with eyes free of secrets or schemes, like a porcelain doll.

But Odie recognized her instantly as Sophie.noveldrama

remembered.
