Chapter 141
Chapter 141:
“Where are the haters now? They owe Khloe an apology!”
“Khloe just went from a starlet to a living legend. Who’d underestimate her now?”
“Count me as a fan for life. Khloe’s not just beautiful; she’s got the brains to back it up.”noveldrama
“Talk about a complete 180. I bet those reporters feel humiliated now.”
“Khloe never fails to surprise, does she?”
“With skills like that, Khloe could easily trade the red carpet for a white coat. She’s the new rising star in medicine.”
“Let’s see anyone try to claim Khloe climbed her way up through scandals now. Her talent speaks for itself.”
The live chat’s atmosphere had done a complete turnaround, turning from scorn and skepticism to awe and admiration. Khloe’s performance silenced her critics, earning her well-deserved respect.
Meanwhile, outside the university, Sloane sat in a nearby café, watching the live stream. Her face twisted in fury as she slammed her phone down, shattering the screen.
Her normally refined features contorted with rage. “Khloe, you scheming witch! How could everything go your way? Even pulling off a heart transplant? No way in hell I’m letting you bask in this glory.”
After a deep, shaky breath, Sloane stormed out of the café, her fingers already dialing a number. “It’s time. Execute Plan B!”
While the world outside buzzed with her name, Khloe left the operating room, cleaned up, and took a long shower.
Stepping out, she saw Casey standing alone in the sterile, brightly lit hallway.
The corridor was eerily silent, empty except for the two of them. Khloe’s eyes locked onto Casey.
With deliberate slowness, she pulled off her mask, unveiling her stunning, composed features. A knowing, relaxed smile played on her lips as her brow arched slightly. “Ah,

Casey Singh. Almost slipped my mind. But it’s time. You lost, and you know what that means. You’ll kneel before the entire student body at Zhecrora University and admit your skills can’t hold a candle to mine.”
Casey’s eyes hardened, a flash of icy contempt crossing them as her lips curled into a sneer. “You got lucky, that’s all. No high skill involved. Don’t flatter yourself. You’re nothing but a washed-up failure, a convict. Everyone knows your story.”
With a mocking smirk, Casey let her fingers idly play, her gaze dripping with disdain as she looked Khloe up and down. “I was being generous this time. Otherwise, how could you have possibly beaten me? What does a bet even mean with someone like you?”
Khloe’s eyes stayed unwavering, her expression calm as she met Casey’s gaze. Her voice was soft yet firm. “I’m giving you one final chance to honor the bet and apologize. Don’t make me show you how ruthless I can be.”
At this, Casey shrugged nonchalantly, her laughter dripping with arrogance as she looked at Khloe. “I’m not apologizing today. What’s stopping me? You’re a disgraced second-rate celebrity. And me? I come from the Singh family and hold a prestigious position at Astro Research Center—a level you’ll never even touch. Think you can stand up to me? Wake up and pinch yourself!”
Khloe raised an eyebrow at the mention of Astro Research Center, her gaze never leaving Casey. “Astro Research Center?” As Casey kept bringing it up, Khloe’s mind began to piece together some vague memories of this lab.
Khloe vaguely remembered having set it up in passing, one of many such labs around the globe, not funded by money but by her crucial technologies that acted as the real investment. It was no surprise she couldn’t remember the details.
But to Casey, Khloe’s thoughtful look seemed like fear, only fueling her sense of superiority.
