Chapter 1030
As Marcus said his goodbyes, Valerie brought over the bassinet with the twins, listening as the children excitedly talked about their future in Hesperia. To them, moving there only meant that their adventures would never end—and Valerie knew that, to some extent, they were right.
"Mom, Ethan can live with us, right?" John asked suddenly.
"What, sweetheart?"
"Yes! Ethan can live with us! That way, you can take care of us, and my sister and her dad can take care of the baby."
"Oh, honey... Every child needs their parents. Ethan needs his dad, and now Serenity is his mom."
"But he can still come to our house, right?"
"Of course, my love. Ethan will always be welcome in our home, but his home is with his parents."
"John, just like your mom said we all need our parents. Just like you have us, Ethan has Alden and Serenity."
"Hmm... Okay... But we can still have sleepovers, right?"
"Absolutely!" Marcus chimed in as he joined his family. "Alright, time to head out. We'll be taking Angel and Mira with us since our star couple has disappeared, and no one knows where they've run off to."
"Girls, don't worry. I'm sure they're fine," Valerie reassured them with a smile. "Let's head home."
As they reached the exit, Marcus and his family ran into Magnus and Maximus.
"Magnus, Maximus, we're off. It's time to get some rest," Marcus said casually before turning to Magnus. "Magnus, thank you for everything today. This was an incredible gift."
"No need to thank me it was my pleasure! I'm glad to be part of something as meaningful as the union of two families that once seemed so distant."
"Before we leave for Hesperia, we'll come to say goodbye. And who knows? Maybe one day, you and Matthew will come visit us."
"Of course! You know our doors are always open."
"Thank you."
With that, the Evans family was the only one left in the house.
Maximus and Diana danced to music that no longer played, lost in their own world, while Magnus and Matthew retreated to the study.
Matthew shared stories of his time in Nepal, and Magnus was fascinated by the richness of the place. Their conversation eventually turned to their future plans. "Matthew, I need you. This family-and the other two-need you. Look at all those young ones..."
Matthew nodded. "I see them."
"We need to pass down everything we know. I trust that one of them will take over the family business. But if you ask me, the most likely candidate is Laura."
"Laura?" Matthew raised an eyebrow.
"You haven't seen her lately. In just a few months, she's matured tremendously. I'm certain she's the one meant for the role."
"Wow. It's incredible how that sweet little girl has grown into a woman worthy of admiration."
Magnus smiled. "That's life, my friend... It makes us grow."
"Well, looks like my vacation is officially over."
"Yes, my old friend... It is."
"I never thought we'd cross paths again... And even less that we'd finally meet Peter's real mother. I always thought that was just a legend." "No... It's the truth."
"Well, at least one good thing Leonardo did for Peter..."
"Yes... At least he did that for his son. His real son."
While Magnus and Matthew caught was upstairs, watching Adele. She had

changed her and tucked her into
bed.
As she gazed out the window, lost in thought, she saw her father outside.
One day, she hoped to find someone who would accept her and love her the way
she had always imagined.
She didn't ask for much-just a coffee date, a walk in the park, maybe even a bouquet of flowers. The small, simple things she once dreamed of sharing with Adrian.
But she quickly pushed the thought away.
She didn't have time for love.
Right now, her focus was on her daughter, her studies, and learning from the best
so she could be a good role model for Adele.
She walked over to the bed and studied her baby's face.
Everyone said Adele was her exact replica, but Laura could see it-day by day,
she was starting to resemble her father.
Adele would always be a reminder of a love gone wrong.
But when Laura looked at her, all she
felt was love. She pushed aside the
pain because she knew that she had
the one to truly put her heart that relationship.
Then, a thought struck her.
Her conversation with her father and brother about Paul's real father...
Was she doing the exact same thing she planned to confront Adrian about?
Was she making the same mistake her mother had with Paul's father?
With those questions lingering in her mind, she took a shower.
As she dried and combed her hair, she thought about what she needed to do.
She didn't want to end up like her father-she didn't want her daughter to one day resent her actions.
Adrian had been the first to fail, that was true.
But she had reached a decision.
She would not make the same mistake.
She would give him the chance to be in Adele's life.noveldrama
And if one day, Adele asked why they weren't together... Well, that would be a conversation for another time.
Elsewhere in the house, the children were already asleep—or at least, most of them were.
Maurice was completely knocked out.
Not that he really understood why he was so exhausted-after all, what had he even done all day?
Paul, on the other hand?
That was a completely different story.
He was wide awake, messaging Amelia-the Hesperian girl who had completely
stolen his attention.
Talking in person had been difficult.
But texting?
That was easy.
In fact, they had already made plans to meet up-to go for a walk, maybe grab a
coffee.
She would be in Valentia for just a week before heading back to Spain with her
aunt.
What do you think?
