Chapter 359
Timothy let out a cold laugh. "How do you even have the nerve to keep asking me for favors?"
It was as if he'd completely forgotten stabbing Timothy in the back-or shipping his wife off overseas-forcing him, injured, to come crawling for help.
Vince arched a brow. "Isn't it because you're the only one who can actually get things done? Nobody else can handle this."
Timothy shot back, "You really have no shame, do you?"
"If I did, how would I survive in business with a genius like you around? Come on, drop the attitude. I lost my temper, all right? Besides, tell me honestly, wasn't some of this your fault too?"
Timothy's lips twitched.
"Nice. You really know how to guilt-trip people."
"Okay, I'm not here to argue. Let's get to the point-can you speed things up?"
Vince was desperate to find his little sister. It wasn't just his mother or his father and grandfather who missed her; he missed her too. Every night, when he lay awake, he'd picture his baby sister-sweet, gentle, impossibly cute—and his heart would ache, wondering if she was suffering somewhere out there.
"I'll be blunt-you're not going to like this-but it's been years, Vince. The
Zimmermans have searched so long. The odds aren't good."noveldrama
"Even so, I have to try. Whether she's alive or not, I need answers before this life is over."
A shadow flickered across Vince's face.
"You'd be better off preparing Mrs. Zimmerman for the worst. If she expects nothing, she won't be crushed by disappointment."
"Easy for you to say. Try losing your own kid and see how you handle it. It's always easy to be heartless when it's not your problem."
Vince never bothered to sugarcoat things with Timothy.
"If you never find her, what then? You're willing to let your mom die with regrets?"
Vince pressed his lips together. "That won't happen. I've talked to Jessica. If it really comes to it, and we still can't find my sister, when my mom's at the end, I'll have Jessica pretend for a little while. Mom won't notice in that short time."
"Are you insane?" Timothy snapped. "A mother knows her own child! You really think your mom won't see through that?"
"Yates says Jessica looks a lot like my sister, and honestly, she does. She's gentle, soft-spoken, always kind-just not as quick to smile."
A strange darkness clouded Timothy's eyes.
She only stopped smiling recently.
She used to greet him with a grin every time she saw him.
Even though she couldn't speak, even when people mocked her,
seemed to get her down.

Now that he thought about it, she really did have a lot in common with Vince's sister.
Timothy couldn't help but remember the birthmark on her chest.
His fingers curled unconsciously.
Could it really just be a coincidence?
Impossible. He refused to believe it.
She had a family-a mother, a grandmother.
And she was a year older than Vince's sister. It couldn't be her.
"Timothy, what's wrong? You look awful. Want me to call the doctor?"
"I'm fine. Just tell me which hospital is she in?"
He wanted to see her.
"Again? Didn't we agree

"If you won't tell me, I'll find out myself."
Vince glared at him, clearly annoyed. "No wonder she wants a divorce! Have you ever stopped to think maybe you're the problem? What kind of husband acts like this?"
Vince wound him up so badly, Timothy's wound started to throb. He wanted to see Jessy.
He had to know-was Jessy actually Vince's missing sister?
Timothy crooked a finger at Vince. "Come here, closer..."
What do you think?
