Chapter 1527
The woman couldn't quite put her finger on where she'd seen Jackson before, and frankly, she didn't care enough to dig deeper.
Jackson, however, let out a soft, cold laugh. He gently pinched Fiona's cheek, savoring the softness under his fingers.
"So, what do you suggest?" Jackson pulled back his hand, stood tall, and his eyes turned icy as he glanced at the woman. His voice was low and deliberate: "Or maybe, should she pay with her life?"
Obviously, he wasn't serious. The woman hadn't thought that far ahead, and with a slight blush, she chuckled, "No need to be so drastic. If she's that out of hand, just send her to juvie."
The idea of sending Fiona to juvenile detention was probably the funniest thing Jackson had heard in ages.
Fiona was the darling of the entire Woods family, doted on by everyone. At home, no one could even raise their voice at her. And here was this meddling woman, acting all high and mighty, daring to suggest something so absurd.
It was clear just how upset Fiona must have been before Jackson showed up.
Jackson shot a look back at Fiona, her big, watery eyes locked onto his, and he felt his heart nearly melt. This woman actually thought sending Fiona to juvie was an option...
"Juvie wouldn't cut it," Jackson scoffed, adding, "Might as well expel her."
The woman completely missed the sarcasm, mistaking Jackson's words for genuine concern. She laughed, unable to hide her admiration for him. I mean, with those looks and that seemingly reasonable attitude, who wouldn't be charmed?
"There's really no need for that," the woman replied with a sugary smile. "Kids will be kids; a little slap on the wrist is all it takes."
Nash couldn't hold back any longer and quickly stepped forward, instinctively putting himself between Fiona and the woman.
"Are you out of your mind? Didn't you catch what Jackson said?" Nash
fired back. "I've seen shameless
people, but never anyone as shameless as you. Can't even understand plain words, living all these years for nothing!"
Getting scolded by a kid, the woman felt her face heat up with embarrassment.
"Whose unruly child are you? How can you talk such nonsense?"
Jackson gestured towards the door. "Show her out."
Turning away, he gave Keaton a quick glance but said nothing, taking Fiona by the hand and leaving the office.
Meanwhile, Keaton, who rarely
showed a fierce side, glared at Patricia. "If you can't provide
evidence, I'll make sure the school
knows, and I won't go easy"
Patricia's face went stiff as a board.
"Teacher, we have evidence!" Another girl suddenly piped up, raising her hand and stepping forward.
Fiona paused, curious to see what so-called evidence they had.
"Teacher, we recorded a video in our dorm; we have proof," the girl said, pulling out her phone to play a video.
Soon, the video showed Fiona kicking someone, and even through the screen, you could tell it was quite the kick.
"Teacher, we weren't lying!"
"Are you sure your video isnoveldrama
evidence?" Fiona turned back from the doorway, her initial plan to leave forgotten. Hearing this, she couldn't hold back her annoyance and scoffed, "I've got to say, your video editing skills are seriously lacking."
What do you think?
