Aaron's eyes flickered, and after a moment, he pried Cynthia Lynwood's hands off him. "Cynthia, you've recovered. You can pursue your own life now."

"I don't want to, Aaron. I just want to be with you, even if it's as your sister. Please, Aaron, let me stay."

Aaron's expression darkened. "Cynthia, Serena has endured too much over the years. I can't wrong her any longer."

Cynthia Lynwood looked up at Aaron's resolute profile, and her heart grew cold inch by inch.
