My husband Ex 65
That morning, I immediately packed my clothes and personal belongings. There wasn't much to pack; in fact, I only needed to bring a few days' worth of clothes with me since the rest of my belongings would be delivered to Europe via the family plane.noveldrama
While I was packing, a servant came to my room offering her help, but I politely refused since I was almost done.
I had just finished placing all my necessities inside my suitcase, including all my clothes, when another servant returned to my room carrying a tray filled with food for my breakfast.
"You shouldn't have brought my breakfast here," I told her, my cheeks flushed. I had never had breakfast in bed before, and it was my first time having a servant deliver it to me.
"No, Señorita Lily," the servant said in a heavy Spanish accent. "Señora Sophia strictly ordered me to bring your breakfast once you're awake. She said you shouldn't get hungry so her grandchild would be born healthy and strong."
Still embarrassed, I told her to transfer the food to the table since I didn't want to eat
breakfast in bed. I wasn't yet accustomed to such luxury and preferred to have my breakfast
like I normally did.
The servant obediently followed and did exactly what I told her. When she finished, she
turned to me and said, "Bon appétit, Señorita. I'll be back to collect the dishes once you're
done." She then marched to the door and gently closed it behind her.
When she was gone, the room went quiet and still again.
I started to heartily eat my breakfast. So far, I was still able to eat as much as I wanted since my morning sickness hadn't begun yet. It usually starts after two months of pregnancy, just like I experienced with my first son, Dylan.
The thought of Dylan brought sadness to my heart. I really missed that little boy. How I wished he were still alive so we could be together. Although it's impossible, a part of me
still hoped that some kind of miracle would happen and he would come back to
me.

Letting out a deep sigh, I pushed the sadness away, knowing Dylan would not be at peace in
heaven if he saw his mother sad.
I continued to heartily eat until I finished my food and picked up the glass of milk
to drink its contents. When I was done, I gathered the empty plates and placed them on the tray. It was the exact scene the servant witnessed when she returned to my room.
When the servant saw what I was doing, her eyes popped open. "Dios Mío, Señorita! It's my
job to do that. Señora Sophia told me not to let you do any housework since you have a delicate pregnancy! Also, if your abuela Leilani knew I was letting you work, she might fire me for not taking good care of you," she prattled nervously.
Within seconds, the servant was already beside me, taking the plate from my hand, which I refused to give her, and we played tug-of-war with it. "You sit down, Señorita. I'll finish the job. Have pity on this woman; she can't afford to get fired! She has five children to feed
at home."
The servant wore a serious expression on her face, and I finally stopped resisting and did what she told me. I sat down and watched her clean the table.
"What's your name?" I asked her.
Startled, the servant pulled to a stop and looked at me as she replied, "Celia, Señorita."
"How long have you been working here?" I asked her.
"Since I was a teen, Señorita."
"You're really dedicated to your job."
"I am, Señorita. The Phoenix family is so good to me. Though they are strict when
it comes to work, they treat a servant like me like family. They also pay me well,
and because of that, I'm able to give my children a comfortable life," she explained.
After a moment of hesitation, she continued, "I saw how the Phoenix family cared
for you.

I could say they are overprotective of you because you're the only daughter they have. Aside from that, you've been away from them for twenty-four years. It's no wonder why they treat you like a princess. That's why, while they are away, I'm doing my job to take good care of you. So don't be hard on me and do what I say because I'm only carrying out their
orders."
I wasn't able to say a word for a while. I was deeply touched by her dedication. If only a lot
of the people I had met in my life before were like her.
"Er, Señorita, you must not forget your appointment at the salon," the servant told
me, jolting my thoughts back to reality. "Before you leave for your trip to Europe
this
afternoon, you need to go to a salon to relax."
Speaking of the salon, I looked at the wall clock and checked the time, discovering that if I didn't prepare myself, I would be late for my appointment.
"Thank you for reminding me," I told her before hurrying to pick the clothes I would wear for my appointment.

The Lamborghini pulled to a stop in front of a large and luxurious building with a large sign
in front that read "Spa and Salon."
I was welcomed by a very pretty blonde woman in an elegant, tight-fitting dress. She immediately recognized the Phoenix family car and came to me with a smile on her lips.
"You must be Sophia and Philip's daughter," she said while her eyes remained glued to my
face.
"You look so much like Leilani," she added, fondness springing in her eyes as she spoke. "By the way, I'm Francine, your mother's best friend."

I shyly smiled back at her. "Nice to meet you, Miss Francine. I'm Lilibeth," I politely introduce myself.
"Drop the formalities and just call me Fran," she said, hooking her arm through mine as

though we were best buddies. "I can't wait to put my hands on you, darling! Once I'm done with your makeover, you will not recognize yourself in the mirror." Before I could react, she ushered me through a door and closed it behind her. This is going to take so long, I thought to myself as I let out a resigned sigh.
