Chapter 1628
Taxes had occupied the headline of entertainment and economic sections for some time. Although she heard merely a few terms, she understood the seriousness of the issue! Finance had always been a sensitive topic. After mentioning several key points, Victoria wanted to dispel his doubts and persuade him to believe in Waverly's ability. Even if it was one more question, and even if it involved the company's confidential information, she hoped that at such a moment, he wouldn't hold any prejudice or doubt toward Waverly's competence.
Alicia had mentioned that Waverly was young and inexperienced, simple and kind-hearted. She was a friend worth making. After several times of contact, she came to realize that Waverly was smart and brilliant. Except for the occasional confusion and squandering of money, she was a kind person. To her, however, it was all nothing. After all, Waverly did have the right to do so, and so could she afford to bear the consequences!
Waverly?
Was she that capable?
That was right! She seemed to be working in an accounting firm!
He wasn't sure if Waverly was as godly as Victoria claimed to be, but it was true that she could be of help!
He indeed needed someone who was proficient at accounting, professional, and trustworthy to help him in the emergency. He believed that she should be able to recommend a lot more accountants!
Victoria's words did dawn on him, giving him a solution!
Their eyes met. With a solemn nod from Victoria, Trevor responded with a faint smile. The two of them then walked out of the door.
Being cheated on throughout the whole night, Waverly could barely feel her legs when she woke up in the morning. The night was completely beyond her expectation. Wyatt's reaction was greater than before, which was unimaginable.
She couldn't understand why after such a major incident, he was still in the mood to make out with her and press down on her, rather than being moody and deep in thoughts.
It didn't make sense!
From the moment she woke up, she remained pouting. Right then, however, she was madder at herself, at her stupidity and foolishness.noveldrama
She was worried about him, the wolf, who had all his thoughts on how he should swallow her up instead. Wasn't she bored out of her mind to send herself right up to his door?
It was so annoying!
On the dining table, she poked at her favorite egg-fried rice. Waverly remained to pull a long face.
Knowing that she was throwing a fit, Wyatt said nothing and served her a piece of panfried tender beef. Knowing that she loved black pepper, he chose a piece of tender beef covered in sauce and spices.
As soon as he withdrew his chopsticks, he saw her returning the piece of beef to the plate. Stunned, Wyatt was about to shake his head, but before he reached out his chopsticks, the hot beef was taken away once more. He looked up to see Waverly biting the beef.
"Ha ha..."
Was she suddenly awakened and decided not to miss out on good food? What a little glutton!
Sweet and spoiled laughter flowed from between his lips. Wyatt had just taken a sip of coffee when the screen of the phone on the table brightened. When he saw that it was from Trevor, he knew that it must be something important. While wiping his mouth with a napkin, Wyatt grabbed the phone and stood up.
Wyatt took a turn at a corner of the dining room and stopped.
He thought he called about the incident the previous day. Hearing Trevor's request, he had surprise written all over his face. Turning his body around, his
eyes fell on the beautiful figure gobbling up the dishes in the dining room. After a long silence, he muttered his confusion.
"Are you sure?"
He was well aware of the fact that Waverly was in the accounting department: She was considered
science, and so had he witnessed it with his own eyes, but to put it bluntly, finance was a major department that was related to the fate of the whole company. It was the most important of all departments. Many of the money transfers and the real strength of the company could not be hidden from members of the department. It was why the managers in charge of the company's finance must generally be entrusted with absolute trust, many of whom were close relatives.
quite a professional net
After all, the department was not ordinary. With more effort, one could win clients
over to the opponent. He would avoid handing the company's account to outsiders, yet he was going to get Waverly to work on the most confidential accounts of the group? It was undoubtedly risky!
After repeating Victoria's reasoning to Wyatt, Trevor went on to say.
"If you can, please bring her over! Well meet up once Victoria's here! Wyatt, you know how developed technology is, and you understand how tricky and troublesome things are! If I hadn't received the news in advance and sent my men
to get ready last night, the consequences would be unimaginable..."
How many businessmen and entrepreneurs were honest in their dealings and tax submission? If there was no tax evasion, the company would have collapsed a long time ago.
It was almost no longer a secret in the business world!
As long as they didn't cross the line
or violate any big taboos, the superiors would turn a blind eye and not make things ugly for everyone! It was for sure that e year, they would donate a large sum of money to projects such as charity and public construction, which were considered mutual achievements. As for the small difference in the tax submitted, no one would hold onto and insist on it!
The premise was that there was no bad impact or big mistakes.
What was the most troublesome with a social circle like his was his every move was paid attention to, so he had always been very cautious. If he were to say that the taxes were clean and clear, how could it be possible? In fact, the circle might be even darker than any social circle. If he were to follow every rule set, his business would have been doomed.
The reason Championus Media was as glorious as it was was that not only did it have a remarkable eye for artists and concentrated on its development, as well as all kinds of promotion, all sorts of dirty tricks were not to be left out. Without putting up a fight, how could one go forward? A skeptical attitude might have an adverse effect instead. For those involved in business, who had the courage to claim to be clean of bribery and dirty tactics in business?
Since he was shouldering the burden, he had no choice but to solve it.
Wyatt understood so, but he was not confident in Waverly's ability. After all, it was
a matter of life and death. He did not want things to turn out worse when Waverly could not be of help and add to the mess instead.
"I'll talk to her about it. When she goes over, to use her or not is up to you!"
"Well, please lend me some free and idle accountants for two days. I need those with good ability and can be entrusted!" The battle was unexpected!
"Don't worry, I'll have Seth to personally arrange for it."
After hanging up the phone, Wyatt strolled back to the dining table with his fiery eyes landing on the woman sitting across from the table...
What do you think?
